MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The MACC Fund, a Wisconsin-based nonprofit that raises funds for childhood cancer and blood research, received a big donation from Sendik's Food Markets on Tuesday, Feb. 17. 

According to a news release, the money was raised through Sendik's annual round-up campaign and the sale of the holiday MACC Star 

The donation marks the 19th annual donation from Sendik's and the largest single year donation the company has made to the MACC Fund to date. 

"The longstanding partnership between Sendik’s Food Markets and the MACC Fund continues to make a profound impact on children battling cancer and related blood disorders. We are incredibly grateful to Sendik’s whose support throughout the holiday season helps provide critical funding for lifesaving research and care. Their compassion truly delivers a gift of hope to kids and families across our community” stated Becky Pinter, MACC Fund President and CEO.
