MILWAUKEE -- The fight for marriage equality continues this week at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit Court will hear arguments regarding Wisconsin's gay marriage ban.

Oral arguments begin Aug. 26 in Chicago as hundreds of same-sex couples fight for marriage equality.

There's a send-off party for local eight couples who are plaintiffs in the case.

The party begins at 12:30 p.m. today in the courtyard of the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center at 1110 N. Market Street.

Another event is planned in Racine at 2 p.m. at the LGBT Center of SE Wisconsin Inc., at 1456 Junction Avenue.
