WASHINGTON (AP) — Senate confirms Betsy DeVos as Education secretary after Vice President Mike Pence breaks 50-50 tie.
Two Republicans announced opposition causing Vice President Mike Pence to have to break the tie.
Devos is a wealthy GOP donor who has pushed for alternatives to public education.
