Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin) says he’s okay with slowing down the process to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.
At a Monday stop in Milwaukee, Johnson said, “I want to take our time and I want to get this right.”
Johnson also said he’s in favor of splitting the effort into two separate bills. This first, a short-term bill, “…to stabilize the markets that are collapsing because of Obamacare.”, Johnson said.
Johnson also said he’s in favor of moving Medicaid management to the state level.
When asked whether the Republican-controlled Senate would pass the House’s healthcare bill [American Health Care Act], Johnson said, “We're going to take a look at certain aspects of it.”
