The mostly virtual event anchored in Milwaukee will feature speeches from Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Gov. Tony Evers, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, Former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and Former President Barack Obama.
Senator Kamala Harris is also expected to accept the Vice Presidential nomination.
Wednesday morning, Democratic leaders from across the country gathered virtually for a breakfast to kick off day three of the convention. Speakers from five states gathered virtually Wednesday morning to talk about why they say Joe Biden needs to be elected in November.
Some of the big Democratic speakers included Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and New Jersey Senator Cory Booker. Sanders had scathing words for Pres. Donald Trump, calling him a racist and saying he doesn't believe in the constitution.
Sanders is telling voters they need to get the word out about voting for Biden.
"Reach our to our friends, our neighbors, co-workers and defeat Trump. But, let me also say defeating Trump is not all this campaign is about. We have got to lay out a vision for the American people today who are struggling and hurting in a way that we have never seen for a very, very long time,” Sanders said.
More information and a schedule of events for the convention can be found on the DNC's website.
