WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- Wisconsin US Senator Tammy Baldwin was in the area Friday, Jan. 20 promoting some of the progress related to the big infrastructure bill passed in 2021.
The senator opened a new minority business development agency on Milwaukee's north side. The agency will soon be staffed with professionals on hand to support small businesses across the state.
"Get access to knowledge about capital, about contracting, about networking, about grant opportunities and we really support entrepreneurship but also help level the playing field where it hasn't always been leveled," Sen. Baldwin said.
Baldwin says projects like this help level the playing field for local businesses.
