Sears at Brookfield Square shopping center closed; signs say "condemned"

The Sears at Brookfield Square is closed. Overnight, CBS 58 found signs posted on the doors declaring the store condemned, calling the store dangerous and unsafe. Other media reports say the store was closed yesterday because of a power outage and safety concerns with the roof. No word yet on what repairs will be required or when the store will re-open. The rest of the mall is expected to be open for business as usual. CBS 58 has contacted both Brookfield Square and Sears for comment and we will update this story when we get a response.
