MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It was a nice day for a swim on Milwaukee's north side, and at the Schulz Aquatic Center, it was free to enter.
Milwaukee County residents took advantage of the free admission to the pool on 13th and Hampton from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. They called it Community Pool Day. It is part of the Healthy County Challenge, declared by Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley three years ago.
"This was actually an activity to get all of our residents within Milwaukee County to utilize our parks, utilize our pools, our trails and just get moving, right? We want to make sure we have a healthy county," said Crowley.
The Community Pool Day included a resource fair, snacks, giveaways, and even a rubber duck race.
