WAUKESHA (CBS 58) -- This Saturday, Aug. 21, is the target date to do your part in helping wildlife conservation.

This is when the Wisconsin Waterfowl Association, or WWA, will be holding its annual "State Shoot" at The Wern Valley Sportsmen's Club in Waukesha.

The fundraiser centers around the sport of "Duck Hunt" sporting clays, often referred to as "golf with a shotgun" because a typical course includes from 10 to 15 different stations laid out over natural terrain.

The State Shoot runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The $50 dollar entry fee includes one round of 50 waterfowl themed sporting clay, a shooters raffle ticket for every target you break, and a 1-year WWA membership. Ammo will be available for purchase.
