Dry start to the new work week before rain and snow chances return
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun traded his baseball cap and bat for a hard hat and hammer on Friday.
He helped Habitat for Humanity build new homes in Milwaukee's midtown neighborhood.
Braun and the Brewers Community Foundation sponsored part of the build.
Braun has been a part of Habitat for nearly 10 years and says he's grateful to have a positive impact on the community.
"Having the opportunity to meet the families who actually move into the houses is so special, so meaningful, and really powerful for all the volunteers and everyone who's here," Braun said.
Friday's build is part of Midtown 100, Habitat for Humanity's initiative to build and repair 100 homes in that neighborhood.
