Running back Jalen Berger dismissed from Wisconsin football program

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Redshirt freshman running back Jalen Berger has been dismissed from the Wisconsin football program, UW head coach Paul Chryst announced Sunday, Oct. 10.

The announcement did not give a specific reason for Berger's removal.

Berger has appeared in seven career games for the Badgers, carrying the ball 84 times for 389 yards and scoring three touchdowns, officials say. He also had four career receptions for 30 yards.

He did not play in Saturday's game against Illinois.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
