Wet start to Tuesday with light chances for rain the next few days

It is a wet start to Tuesday. We had a few isolated showers Monday afternoon and evening but the bigger area of rain started rolling in around midnight in NW counties and moved southeast. Some of you may have been woken up by some claps of thunder and pockets of heavy rain early Tuesday. While the thunderstorms have ended for now, more steady and light rain continues to fall through the rest of the Tuesday morning commute.

The rain chance will start to go down on Tuesday after the noon hour with only isolated showers in the afternoon and evening. Wednesday has trended mostly dry but still a slight chance for some showers. Thursday also only has low rain chances and mainly light in the morning. 

Rain chances will increase heading into the weekend when some storms and heavy rain will be possible. 

Temperatures will go up and down a little through the rest of the week. Highs will be warmer on Tuesday in the upper 70s then drop closer to 70 Wednesday before warming back to average Thursday and another cooler day Friday. 

Dew points will go up and down with the temperatures the rest of the week as well. Near-tropical levels of humidity are possible for Tuesday then the dew points will drop on Wednesday before more humidity again on Thursday.
