The Cream Puff 5K run and walk started at 6:30 p.m. at the fairgrounds.
Everyone who took part got a cream puff after the race. They also got an official Cream Puff 5K T-shirt and a finisher's ribbon.
"This event supports the Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation, which is dedicated and all about giving back to the Wisconsin State Fair and making it the best it possibly can be," State Fair's Jen Puente said.
More than 2,200 people were in attendance.
