Rookies Arrive to Packers Orientation

The Green Bay Packers welcomed the newest members of the team to Lambeau Field on Friday with rookie orientation.

A new crop of Packers are here in Green Bay.

Rookies went through what the team is calling orientation.

  They put on the green and gold for the first time and stepped on the field inside the Don Hutson Center for a quick run through.

Head Coach Mike McCarthy said this was mainly to show the rookies how the packers practice.

Most of the drafted rookies like Kenny Clark in number 97 and Jason Spriggs wearing 78.

He won't have to worry about being cut.

But the future isn't as certain for another batch of players were announced today the undrafted free agents included punter Peter Mortell.

There's not much room for him unless he beats out veteran Tim Masthay.

"It's Lambeau Field… it's the Green Bay Packers. This has been a dream of mine so I was definitely very humbled to have this opportunity to put on that green and gold. But at the end of the day I'm here to be a player,” said Mortell.
