RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Excessive snow likely caused the roof to collapse at a business on South Sylvania Avenue in Racine County on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
A photo shared by the Racine County News/Scanner shows half of the roof on the inside of the Racine Petro Gas Station in Sturtevant.
CBS 58 spoke with a trucker who was standing near the cash register when the roof caved in.
"Just trying to buy some stuff when I heard a little bit rumble and thunder, and I look to my right and the ceiling was all coming down... it all just came down and collapsed and stopped at just about the cash register," said Jeffery Nock, truck driver.
Thankfully, no one was injured but the gas alarm did go off.
