Rodgers confirms small fracture in collarbone; Finley placed on IR

GREEN BAY - Aaron Rodgers confirmed the bad news on his weekly radio show on Milwaukee's 540 ESPN Radio Tuesday. Rodgers has a small fracture in his collarbone, an injury the Packers quarterback calls \"significant\".

Packers coach Mike McCarthy says the team's evaluating the injury on a \"week-to-week\" basis, and that Seneca Wallace is being groomed to start at quarterback for the team while Rodgers is out. Former Packers backup Matt Flynn has cleared waivers and had not been signed by any NFL team as of Tuesday evening.

Former Badgers quarterback Scott Tolzien has been promoted to the 53-man roster from the practice squad.

The Packers also placed tight end Jermichael Finley on injured reserve Tuesday, ending his season and possibly his Packers career. Finley will be a free agent after the season.
