Roadwork paused along I-94 in Racine, Kenosha Counties for holiday weekend

RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- There's good news for drivers who are heading south from Milwaukee over the Fourth of July weekend.

"If you are traveling through one of those construction zones, you're not gonna have those additional distractions of having all the crews out there working," said Mike Pyritz with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

Pyritz says most construction work will stop over the Fourth of July weekend in that stretch of I-94 construction through Racine and Kenosha Counties.
