MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence will hold a rally Tuesday evening in Milwaukee for thousands of supporters.
Tuesday morning, dozens of people were already lined up outside of the University of Milwaukee’s Panther Arena ahead of the rally.
CBS 58 spoke with the President’s 2020 campaign communications director.
“The President has hardcore support here in Wisconsin,” Trump 2020 Deputy Communications director Erin Perrine said. “Wisconsinites show up every time to see their President.”
Perrine also commented on the importance of campaigning in Wisconsin.
“The road to the White House clearly leads through the Badger state,” she said. “So the President will not take any vote in Wisconsin for granted.”
The rally is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
Hundreds of people plan to protest the presidential visit. One group says it plans to march outside of Panther Arena.
