Riverside Theater to get new marquee

The Riverside Theater's marquee will soon be getting a major facelift.  The theater's owner, Zilber Ltd., announced that the current marquee will be replaced and a 40 foot vertical sign will be added.  The new signs are designed to be reminiscent of what West Wisconsin Avenue once looked like.

The new signs are part of the Pabst Theater Group's 10th Anniversary of managing the Riverside.  During the decade the group has been in charge, the 87-year-old theater has hosted more than 600 shows.  A portion of all tickets sold goes to preservation of the group's historic theaters.

Next year, restoration will continue with the replacement of all balcony theater seats at the Riverside.

The new marquee and vertical sign will go up sometime in December of this year.
