Right lane of I-94 north closing from County G to Ryan Road due to pavement conditions

RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- With extreme cold temperatures expected, the Wisconsin DOT is closing the right lane of I-94 north from County Highway G to Ryan Road.

The closure is due to the possibility of heaving pavement from temporary asphalt. It is expected to begin Saturday and could last until Tuesday or Wednesday depending on temperatures.

The DOT says plans are being developed to address the condition of the pavement in the area which drivers have described as dangerous.

Anyone driving along that stretch of highway is asked to use appropriate speeds and prepare for changing pavement conditions.
