MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- There's a new look coming to Postman Square in downtown Milwaukee.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Tuesday morning to cut the bands on Postman's Porch, a revamped hangout to enjoy.
The underutilized traffic triangle will now feature a free place to read, work remotely, or enjoy a good meal.
"It's great to many people who want to acclimate this space to really enliven the heart of the city, and I talked a lot about the heart of the city and how important it is to have a strong heart, we're now at the point where we have a strong heart in Milwaukee," said Mayor Barrett.
Visitors at the ribbon-cutting got a special event-themed postcard and stamp just for attending.
There was also a performance by the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.
