Reports: Beyonce to Perform at Super Bowl Halftime Show

Reports suggest Beyonce will join Coldplay in the Super Bowl 40 Halftime Show on CBS 58, according to Entertainment Tonight.

According to Sophie Schillaci of Entertainment Tonight, Beyonce will be Coldplay's guest on stage at on February 7 at Levi's Stadium.

In addition to Beyonce, Bruno Mars is also set to perform as a special guest during the halftime show.

This will mark the second time Beyonce has performed during a Super Bowl halftime show. She previously took the stage as the headline act during Super Bowl 47 between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers.

Mars will also be a returning performer after drawing positive reviews for his effort to liven up the Seattle Seahawks' 43-8 blowout of the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 48.

As for what the entire act will entail, per NFL.com, Coldplay is seeking to feature elements from football's past, present and future.

"This announcement is just the beginning," per the NFL.com release. "Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is designing a show that will echo elements of the NFL's On the Fifty campaign—honoring the past, recognizing the present and looking ahead to the next 50 years, including other special artists."
