Remembering the life of Milwaukee community leader

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Tonight, Milwaukee is honoring beloved pharmacist and community leader Dr. Lester Carter, who died last week at 90-years-old.

A two-hour public viewing was held the evening of Friday, Feb. 11.

A celebration of prayer and praise was held afterward at Parklawn Assembly of God on Sherman Blvd.

Dr. Carter ran a pharmacy at 24th and Burleigh for almost half a century.

His contributions to the health and well-being of the city have been widely celebrated and saluted this week.
