Remains of a Soldier from Wisconsin are Home after 66 years

The remains of a soldier from Wisconsin are home after 66 years.

Veterans and the family of Corporal Donald Hendrickson lined the streets near Janesville on Thursday, Hendrickson went missing in action in Korea back in 1950.

Many of the surviving family members never met him, but know him as a hero.

"You don't know exactly how to feel. I mean 66 years we're not really mourning him anymore. I think it's more of a celebration,” said a family member.

Hendrickson's family never knew what happened to him until a recovery operation found remains near a battle site in Korea.

The family said Hendrickson will be buried within sight of his mother's grave.
