MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- October is Vegetarian Awareness Month, a time when people are encouraged to get more vegetables in their diet.
From the already committed to the "veggie-curious", everyone can benefit from more vegetables in their diet.
Registered dietician and president of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Becky Kerkenbush, joined CBS 58 on Monday, Oct. 11 to talk about getting your proteins from vegetables instead of meat.
Kerkenbush shares easy ways to swap out meat-based meals with plant proteins, and the health benefits of switching out meat at least a couple days a week.
