Reckless driver given Narcan after nearly hitting several cars

RICHFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a vehicle “all over the road” and almost hitting several cars head on on Wednesday night around 9:30. The call came in from State Highway 167 near Scenic Road in Richfield.

Deputies responded, located and pulled over the driver who was identified as a 36-year-old Addison man.

While Deputies were speaking with the man his condition deteriorated and an ambulance was called. Before the ambulance arrived one of the deputies was concerned that the driver was in the early stages of an opioid overdose and administered Narcan.

The driver was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he was medically cleared and then taken to jail for OWI charges.
