Brookfield's "Water 2 Wine" has a lot to celebrate this week. It's five years in business. All wines at this location are made onsite at the winery from grapes from vineyards all over the world. 90 wines from 12 countries. All of them are available for tasting everyday. They are said to have lower sulfites compared to other commercial brands in addition to having no histamines. During The CBS58 Morning News on Tuesday, I got to see the entire process from start to bottling.
Owner Larry VanHoveln says he's elated his business has reached the five year mark. He credits his success with some luck and fate. He does realize there's more competition in the wine business these days, especially with "Total Wine" basically across the street from him on Bluemound Road. But he admits he caters to a different kind of clientele.
This week, starting on Wednesday and going through Saturday, there will be special events in conjunction with the fifth anniversary, including live music, specials on glasses, hourly drawings, and wine tastings. Click on the attached link for more information about all the five year anniversary celebrations.
