Rain chances increase as weekend arrives

We've had some scattered rain and storms move through southeast Wisconsin the past couple days and more is on the way as we head into the weekend. After a soaking rain for some on Wednesday we are still about three tenths of an inch below-average on rain for the month. August is the wettest month on average so it's no surprise we are down, but some weekend rain chances make it close.

If you're looking for a day where the likelihood of being dry is the highest then Thursday is your day! Rain looks likely on Friday on and off through the day.

The best chance for a soaking rain Friday is in the morning with more pop up showers and storms in the afternoon. Saturday's rain chance is decreasing but some isolated storms might be possible.

The rain chance starts to go up on Sunday to round out the weekend but some weather models have that rain diving to the south.
