Rail Crossing work in Oak Creek to Cause Road Closures

Union Pacific Railroad will be doing maintenance work on several of their rail crossings in the city of Oak Creek beginning on October 18.

This work will significantly impact east-west traffic flow during that time, according to a release from the city of Oak Creek.

County Line Road, Elm Road and Oakwood Road will be closed down on October 18 for own day while work takes place.

These roads will reopen the same evening with temporary gravel through the crossing, marked with “Rough Crossing” signs.

Traffic will be detoured to STH 100 during the one-day closure.

The old Ryan Road and Puetz Road will be closed down for 2 to 3 days while work takes place on October 26. 

Forest Hill Avenue is tentatively scheduled to be closed down for one day while work takes place. This road will reopen the same evening with “Rough Crossing” signs.
