RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Racine Zoo has a busy spring ahead, as the temperatures warm up and zoo season hits its stride.
Beth Heidorn, executive director, and Abby Flores, conservation education manager, joined us on Monday, March 30 to preview some of the events that are ahead.
Eggstravaganza takes place Saturday, April 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Easter-themed event includes candy hunts, a trunk hunt with local businesses, cookie and egg decorating, crafts and photos with the Easter Bunny. Activities are included with regular admission and free for zoo members.
Spring Break Camp runs April 6-10 with flexible single-day or full-week options. A Mother's Day brunch is set for Sunday, May 10, featuring a catered meal, a giraffe encounter and same-day zoo admission. The zoo is also hosting Sip, Sing & Safari brunches on May 30 and Aug. 15.
