Racine superintendent cleared in physical abuse claim

RACINE-The Racine Unified school District superintendent has been cleared of wrong doing brought on by a complaint that she physically abused a student related to an incident at an elementary school last month.


The Racine County Executive James Ladwig announced on Thursday that independent investigators determined the allegations against Dr. Lolli Haws were unsubstantiated.


The Kenosha County Human Services Department was asked to conduct an independent investigation Ladwig said to avoid a conflict of interest.


\"Kenosha County's Division of Children and Family Services concluded their independent audit and today  reported the complaint in the case to be unsubstantiated,\" a statemetn from Ladwig said.


\"Racine County is grateful to Kenosha County for their assistance in this  investigation. We will now move forward and focus on what is most important; improving our schools and providing a great education for our children.\"
