Racine Police searching for man who tried to wave student toward vehicle near Horlick High School

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Racine Police Department is currently searching for the man who attempted to wave a student toward his vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Racine Police Department, the student was walking to school through the old Pick 'n Save parking lot near Rapids Drive and Mt. Pleasant Street when a man tried to wave the student over to his vehicle.

The student did not go and proceeded to the school.

The student then told her mother who reported the incident to police.

The man is described as a light skin black male in his 30's. His vehicle is described as a 4-door black sedan with the rear license plate hanging off.

Racine Police are asking citizens to be on the lookout for this vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Racine Police Department.
