Racine Police looking for alleged 16 year-old shooter

Racine Police Department is looking for a man in connection with the shooting on the 1100 block ML King Drive on October 4.

The Racine Police Department has developed a person of interest, Tramerquae M. Massie. Massie is 16 years-old. He is described as a black male, 5 feet 9-inches and 185 pounds and is currently considered armed and dangerous.

On Sunday, October 4, 2015, at approximately 12:26 PM, patrol officers and investigators responded to the report of a shooting in the 1100 block of ML King Drive. Upon the officers arrival they located a 52 year-old victim who was injured during the shooting and was taken to the Wheaton Franciscan ER. The victim was treated at the emergency room for two gunshot wounds.

The victim stated that he was in the 1100 block of ML King Boulevard when he was approached by the suspect and two additional parties. The suspect produced a handgun and shot at the victim several times striking him twice.

Officers stopped two individuals that matched the description given of the two that were with the suspect at the time of the shooting. They were identified and also had in their possession a semi-automatic pistol. It was determined, that this weapon in their possession was not the weapon involved in the shooting.
