Racine Police Department: Two people killed in single car crash

RACINE- Two people were killed in a one car accident near Erie Street and South Street in Racine, Saturday June 17th.

The Racine Police Department responded to the crash, and a preliminary investigation shows that a vehicle was driving at a high rate of speed when it lost control and struck a tree.

The driver and passenger of the vehicle were transported to the hospital in critical condition where they died of their injuries.

According to the Racine Police Department, speed is believed to be a factor but it is unknown if drugs and alcohol were involved.

The investigation is still on going.
