Racine & Me: Rocky Rose performs
RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- The members of Rocky Rose joined us in studio to perform and promote their upcoming shows!
Rachelle Koshen of Rocky Rose released the following information about their band:
"This is Rocky Rose’s 5th year together as a band. Our music is all original and it is music that tells a story. Each song has a unique back-story that I like to share before performing to give the audience a chance to relate from the start of the song. Being an original band is a privilege and an exciting opportunity to reach the collective consciousness. I believe that my most marketable songs are ones that say what the world is thinking or feeling. My songs hopefully reflect the evolution of peace and love that I believe we are moving toward. My music also explores themes of the complexity of relationships, the preciousness of family and possess a quality of spirituality and hope. My style is a cross between John Denver and Pat Benatar with a little Avril Lavigne mixed in. The genre we fit best in is alternative country or Americana. (maybe I can tell a short back story for one of the songs) Right now, we are getting ready for our summer gigs including June 29th at the US Cellular Stage at Summerfest. WE are in the process of recording a couple of albums that got paused because of the pandemic. The lineup consists of Rachelle Koshen Vocals and Acoustic Guitar, Gordy Smith on Bass, Steve Comeau on Drums, Michael Ivory on Lead Guitar and our newest member Eddie Muniz on Keyboards. We’re now able to book more shows because everyone is finally freed up from other projects and commitments that we can give it our 100% attention. I continue to write music and we add the songs to the sets as they come out so our shows are always fresh and exciting. We are looking for gigs to add to our summer.
