RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- As one of the oldest arts councils in Wisconsin, the Racine Arts Council continues to shape the cultural landscape of Racine County — and it's gaining national recognition. Racine County ranks in the top 12% nationwide for arts vibrancy, according to SMU Data Arts.

The Council’s mission is to support and promote the arts across the region, offering programs that help make creative expression more accessible and sustainable.

Programs include:

ArtSeed Grants
These grants offer seed money to individuals and organizations launching creative projects. The Council recently announced its largest round of funding yet for the 2025–26 cycle, providing a boost to a wide range of artistic genres.

Lonely Instruments Need Kids
Revitalized this year, this program accepts donated instruments from the community, partners with experts to refurbish them, and gives them to students who cannot afford their own.

Racine County Arts Calendar
This free online calendar is a central resource for upcoming events, shows, exhibits, and more across the county. Organizations throughout the region link to it as a one-stop guide.
