Jacob Kittilstad welcomes the organizers of the Back the Badge Golf Outing and Dinner to the program. They talked about how positive the event was for law enforcement officers – giving them a chance to network and have a good time with one another.  In a surprise announcement, organizers donated the remainder of the money they fundraised to Band of Blue –a Racine non-profit focused on giving support to children of officers who have died while in the line of duty. The Racine Theater Guild has opened its latest show and it is Indoor/Outdoor - a sentimental comedy about a cat named Samantha. Both the lead actress and show director joined Jacob to talk about the question driving the production: What does having a home and being loved really mean? They also discussed the preparation for actors who had to jump into such abstract roles. Click here for more information on the Indoor/Outdoor

The show has also partnered with four different animal advocacy groups to raise awareness about animal adoption. H.O.P.E. Safehouse came on the program to talk about their mission: caring and re-socializing lost, injured, neglected, and abandoned pets. The non-profit is also completely volunteer-run. Lastly, the Racine Zoo visited to talk about everything going into their upcoming Boo at the Zoo! Along with festivities happening inside the park there will be a connected Trunk or Treat and a Scarecrow Decorating Contest (that the visiting public will be invited to vote on). Also, it was the privilege of Racine & Me to host an animal guest debut: a straw-colored Fruit Bat! Click here for more information on the Racine Zoo's October Events
