Racine & Me: Just Add Kids Family Expo, Wait Until Dark (3/3/2019)
If you have an idea for Racine & Me contact CBS 58 Morning News anchor Jessica Tighe at [email protected].
Just Add Kids Family Expo
It’s one of the go-to family events in Racine County this winter. The Just Add Kids Family Expo is Saturday, March 9th at Fountain Hall in Sturtevant. Two of the organizers explain what’s new this year and highlight the activities for kids of various ages.
STEM Experiments & Henna Demonstration
The Just Add Kids Family Expo makes STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fun for kids with hands-on experiments. We invite a group of eager kids to the CBS 58 studio to try the experiments early and show you what your kids can check out at the expo. A henna artist is on hand as well to explain the origin of the art and show you how she creates the designs.
Wait Until Dark
Plunge into the darkness and try not to scream! That’s the teaser for “Wait Until Dark,” a thriller playing now at the Racine Theatre Guild. The director discusses the unique storyline and the takeaway message of the play. The Executive Director of Racine Neighborhood Watch joins him to explain why the organization teamed up with RTG to offer crime tips at the shows.
Wait Until Dark In-Studio Performance
There’s a special relationship on stage during “Wait Until Dark” at the Racine Theatre Guild. Samantha and Kevin Sustachek play husband and wife and they’re married in real life. Samantha explains what it’s like to work on stage with her husband. Sixth grader Grace Nelson, who plays the girl in the upstairs apartment, joins Samantha for an in-studio performance that will give you the chills.
