Racine Man Shoots Handyman Four Times Including in Face

A Racine man shot in the face his apartment building’s handyman because he had been evicted.

According to the criminal complaint, this incident happened at 1809 Douglas Avenue on October 1.  

Conrese Williams was charged with attempt first degree intentional homicide and possession of firearm by a felon.

The handyman told police at the hospital he was returning to his apartment from taking out garbage when he was approached by a man who appeared intoxicated.

According to the criminal complaint, the man was complaining about being evicted.

The handyman recognized him as the live-in boyfriend of a resident where he worked.

The victim said he did not speak to the man, and then suddenly the man was right in front of him “blasting.”

He was shot in point blank range  in the cheek bone underneath the eye, shoulder area, upper right arm, and torso.
