Racine Man Facing Numerous Felony Charges After Sheriff's Office Finds Heroin and Crack Cocaine

RACINE - 24-year-old Devontia Cruse of Racine is facing numerous felony drug charges following a search warrant executed by the Racine County Sheriff's Office Metro Drug Unit and the City of Racine Special Investigative Unit.

According to the sheriff's office, on  Monday morning, the agents served a search warrant in the 3000 block of 9th Ave. in the City of Racine.

During the search warrant they uncovered the following:

  • 30 individually packaged bags of heroin totaling 15.5g
  • 6 individually packed bags of crack cocaine totaling 1.1g
  • Marijuana, digital scale, drug packaging materials
  • Approximately $4,000 in US Currency.

The search warrant was a result of controlled purchases of heroin and crack cocaine from the suspect. The estimated street value of the drug seized is $2,500.

Cruse will have his preliminary hearing on March 22nd.
