Racine man arrested for 5th OWI in Jefferson County

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 41-year-old Racine man was arrested for his 5th OWI after being pulled over in Jefferson County.

A Wisconsin State Trooper stopped the driver for deviation from a designated lane around 4 a.m. on Saturday on I-94 at CTH O.

Based on the odor of intoxicants and the driver's speech and actions, field sobriety tests were administered.

The driver was subsequently arrested for his 5th OWI.

He was currently on parole and extended supervision for manufacture/delivery of heroine.

He is now facing additional charges of OWI, deviation from designated lane, and operating without insurance.
