Racine man, 71, arrested for OWI after rollover crash in Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 71-year-old Racine man was arrested for OWI following a rollover crash in Mount Pleasant. 

It happened late Thursday night, March 16, near State Highway 31 (S. Green Bay Road) and Shirley Avenue. 

Mount Pleasant police say a Silverado traveling southbound on Green Bay Road, attempted to make a left turn onto Shirley Avenue but failed to yield, causing a crash with another vehicle. 

The operators of the vehicles were checked on by rescue, and transported to Wheaton Ascension Emergency Room with Non-Life Threating injuries.

The driver of the Silverado was identified by officials as Timothy Stindle Sr. He was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-causing injury.

The vehicles were towed from the scene due to the extent of the damages.

This crash remains under investigation by the Mount Pleasant Police Department.
