Racine celebrates completion of new Lake Michigan Pathway

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Lake Michigan Pathway in Racine has received an upgrade. 

The city announced Wednesday, May 31, the completion of the highly anticipated pathway project -- taking residents to North Beach and beyond.

Over the past few years, Racine Mayor Cory Mason said the city has been restoring and fortifying the path to protect it from potential storm damage. 

“Our community members truly love this path, and we are glad to have it fully restored. This project exemplifies the progress we are making in strengthening the resiliency of our public spaces," said Racine Mayor Cory Mason.
