Quiet Pattern...Possible Weekend Storms

The weather today has been absolutely gorgeous!  Northwest winds have dropped dewpoints into the lower 50s, taking the stickiness out of the air.  The pattern is going to be rather quiet through Friday until we call for some weekend storm chances..

Take a look at the picture I have included in this blog post.  A pretty stout ridge of high pressure will setup across the central plains this week.  Air will sink under the ridge, and that will cause some major heat to develop to our south.  Wisconsin will sit along the periphery of the ridge, and that will bring in northwest flow late Friday into Saturday.

There are some indications that a complex of storms will develop along the ridge and move southeast into Wisconsin by early Saturday morning.  If that scenario plays out there could be some clouds and storms for Saturday morning.  We will watch it closely with the Air and Water show beginning Saturday morning.

A similar pattern played out last weekend with morning convection dying out across our viewing area.  We will keep you posted!
