Quick Fling with The Mild Temps
If you like a December thaw, head outside Monday morning as temperatures will approach 50! Keep in mind a normal high is 30. But with the warmth, we get wind. In fact, the wind machine will increase during the day. We have a Wind Advisory from 10am until 8pm. Wind gusts could peak around 50 mph.
With this type of wind, we could see downed branches and sporadic power outages. The wind should die down later Tuesday morning.
The gusty wind is being accompanied by a strong cold front. Look for early afternoon highs to be in the 40s, approaching 50. However, look for a sharp drop in temps during the afternoon. As a matter of fact, it's be near freezing by the end of the day. With the wind, it'll feel like the teens. Of course, tomorrow morning, it'll be even colder. The actual air readings will be in the teens and 20s with wind chills in the single digits.
We could have another bounce with the temps by Wednesday with readings approaching 40 and then we fall back again for the end of the week. However, I don't see any major chill or storm system coming anytime soon.
