MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Voters waiting in line in Milwaukee on Friday, October 30 got a surprise from a circus act.
The nationwide nonpartisan organization, The Emergency Circus, came together to entertain voters.
“We’re trying to reward people for doing their part to participate in civic responsibility,” Dead Mans Carnival Creative Director Prof. Pinkerton Xyloma said. “We’re putting the fun back in fundamental rights.”
Jugglers, aerialists and the Milwaukee Flyers Tumbling Team stopped by city voting locations including the Midtown Center.
“I think they’re doing a beautiful job,” Voter Ida Johnson said. “It was really nice.”
The Emergency Circus held similar events in six other cities around the country.
