MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- PrideFest 2023 kicks off on Thursday, June 1, along Milwaukee's lakefront. Gates open at Henry Maier Festival Park at 4 p.m. for the three-day celebration.
Tens of thousands of people are expected to enter the gates at the LGBTQIA+ community comes together.
"We can't wait. We're always so excited to get to be the first festival kicking off the festival season here at the Henry Maier Festival Park. The PrideFest energy is always infectious, and we can't wait to have folks on the ground," said Luke Olson, Milwaukee Pride vice president.
Milwaukee Pride Vice President Luke Olson says, there are a record number of vendors this year and online sales are up.
"You're going to have lots of fun when you come down to PrideFest. Our dance pavilion is going to be high energy, lots of dancing We have lots of activities for family-friendly things. Kid activities," Olson said.

Meantime, the Milwaukee Pride Parade will take place on Sunday, June 4 at 2 p.m. The parade steps off at Greenfield and goes north to Seebooth Street. CBS 58 is a media partner of the mile-long parade that'll feature more than 150 units.
