WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Four men are in custody after a traffic stop in West Allis led to a chase that ended with a crash in the American Family Field parking lot early Tuesday, July 28, according to police.

A West Allis officer stopped a vehicle near 52nd and Greenfield at around 1:45 a.m. after noticing it was driving without headlights, police say. The driver reportedly got out, then quickly returned to the vehicle and sped away. The officer pursued until the vehicle crashed at the ballpark parking lot.

Five people ran from the crashed vehicle, and four were taken into custody with help from the West Milwaukee Police Department and the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, according to police.

Officers say four firearms were thrown from the vehicle during the chase, and an additional five guns and drugs were found inside.

The men in custody are a 30-year-old driver, a 29-year-old passenger and a 19-year-old passenger, all from Milwaukee, along with a 21-year-old passenger from Butler.
