Pothole problems to only get worse

Milwaukee-- If you think the roads are bad now just wait.

\"Our streets have really gotten beat up and the worst is yet to come,\" explained City of West Allis, Director of Public works and City Engineer, Michael Lewis.

He said once we get a freeze-thaw cycle [during the spring] they will likely have to use additional crews to keep up with road repairs.

\"That's when the pavements are going to take a beating out there,\" he said.

Right now West Allis has crews working 16 hours a day to cold and hot patch potholes.

\"We're trying to get the potholes filled as quickly as we possibly can with the resources that we've got.\"
