Don't expect any big rains to kick off this new work week but a few very light rain chances are a possibility. Sunday night going into Monday we were watching a bigger area of rain to our west in Minnesota and Iowa and south in Illinois but that storm system is moving south and away from us so the vast majority of southeast Wisconsin should stay dry Monday. An isolated pop up shower or storm will be possible Tuesday and Wednesday mostly in the afternoon and evening but even those chances are low.
The low rain chances come as our rainfall and precipitation deficit for the year continues to grow. July was the only month over the last few that had above-average rainfall but because April, May and June were so dry the deficit continues to grow to over 2" for the summer months, over 6" since the start of Spring and almost 2" for the year.
The next best chance for rain right now is Friday but we will see how that one trends. Track those changes by downloading the CBS 58 Ready Weather app.
